Founder & Principal, ElevareExport
Founder of ElevareExport, a boutique advisory specialising in FDI and Export development across the UK, Ireland and Italy, helping EDOs, IPAs and government entities attract investment from these markets while supporting companies in developing international export opportunities.
With over a decade of experience in economic development and international business, the founder has advised investment promotion agencies, governments, and companies worldwide on FDI attraction, export development, investor targeting, and market entry strategies.
Prior to establishing ElevareExport, he held senior roles at Wavteq and OCO Global, delivering global investment attraction and trade projects that generated significant investment pipelines, capital flows, and job creation. ElevareExport builds on this experience to help organisations identify investors, develop export partnerships, and achieve sustainable international growth.
Having worked across FDI and Export development, I have seen how easily international growth can become a numbers game: more markets, more prospects, more leads.
But more markets and more leads don't necessarily translate into more business.
Every new market requires time, knowledge and relationships. The same applies to every new prospect. A long list of companies may create activity, but activity alone does not create business.
I believe international growth works better when there is focus behind it.
That means understanding which markets are worth pursuing, identifying the companies where there is a genuine fit, and taking the time to understand what is happening within those businesses. It also means knowing when to approach them and, once the conversation starts, putting the work into developing the relationship.
A lead is a starting point. A relationship is where an opportunity develops. This thinking is at the heart of ElevareExport.
I built the company around a simple idea: the right markets, the right companies and the right relationships can create better international opportunities.
That is also why I have chosen to focus ElevareExport on the UK, Ireland and Italy. I don't want to try to cover every market. I know these markets well, understand their business environments and have built experience and relationships across them. I want to use that knowledge to help companies find and develop the opportunities that matter.
What I have learned is that international growth rarely comes from being everywhere.
It comes from knowing where to focus, who to speak to and how to develop the relationship from that first conversation.
